Mersenne Prime Mailing List Sign-Up Sheet

The Mersenne Prime Mailing List was created to facilitate communication between those interested in all aspects of Mersenne Primes. One ongoing topic is the search for the next Mersenne Prime.

The list is unmoderated. You can read all of the old posts in the list's older archives. You can also find some of the list's older digest archives and a recent searchable achive.

You are encouraged to read the FAQ before posting.

Receive the List in 'real time'

Whenever somebody (including you) sends a message to Mersenne@base.com, the message is automatically forwarded to each of the over 700 list subscribers. The traffic can be heavy, sometimes even 20 messages in a single day. Less than 10 messages per day is normal.

To put yourself on the list, send email to mersenne-request@base.com, with the word subscribe in the body of the message. The email's Subject: line is not important. To unsubscribe, just say unsubscribe.

Receive the List in Digest form a few times per week

Many people prefer a few, large emails instead of many small ones. The Mersenne Digest contains all of the Mersenne emails, but in a magazine form. The emails are saved and not forwarded until 2 A.M. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, or whenever 40k bytes of messages are ready to be sent.

To add yourself to the list digest, send email to mersenne-digest-request@base.com, with the word subscribe in the body of the message. The email's Subject: line is not important. To unsubscribe, just say unsubscribe.
